Starting therapy and finding a therapist is never easy. Right now, almost a year in to COVID-19 pandemic life things are not easy. Anxiety has been high, isolation, grief, and sadness are present, and any mental health or life issues that we had before probably feels bigger now. But starting therapy now, in the winter of 2021, means for most of us engaging in teletherapy.
A main way to access body work is of course in one on one in the therapeutic relationship but there are also a number of other ways to work with the body and heal. This blog will explore three of them including: mudra space awareness, neurofeedback training, as well as books and other resources.
After over 2 months of staying home due to COVID-19 many states, including NY, are starting to open up. The days are getting longer, the weather is warmer and nicer so the pull to be outside, travel, see friends is growing. And with that so is some people’s anxiety.
